What does a meeting hall and protest song from the 1960’s have in common? Join us, for an Open House and Pop-up Exhibition entitled “Collective Futures” and find out.

Exhibiting artists Sally Eckhoff and Michelle Hauser, will share and discuss recent work that includes photography, painting, and hand-drawn animation. Doors open at 1pm.

At 2 pm, the presentations will begin with a screening of "The Innocent Bystander" by Sally Eckhoff, an animation of the iconic song by Dan Hicks. Since it premiered in 2023 it has been shown at film festivals both internationally and across the country. As the lyrics state, “Moody Richard never really got involved.” Is there harm in this? Hicks and Eckhoff agree, yes there is.

Michelle Hauser will present a selection of live and projected images from her ongoing photographic project: “Halls of Power” that documents hundreds of Maine’s historic meeting halls. Michelle’s talk will illuminate the significant role that volunteer societies and fraternal organizations have played in invigorating American democracy.
At this event The Independent Order of Odd Fellows rich history and symbolism will be emphasized, honoring the dynamic of current and pervious generations, whose spirit, time and materials created this irreplaceable landmark building for us to share.

Free and open to the public. Light refreshment will be served.

Little Death at the Mariners Lodge -
We loved hosting LITTLE DEATH, a very special, experiential, pop-up exhibition and shop. So much beauty was brought to the space throughout the weekend and live atmospheric jazz on Saturday night. We were thrilled to experience this community art-focused use of the Lodge.

Shout out to @micahsanders and @petersleeves for poster art

Dance Party -
We've been having a BLAST at our dance parties! Stay tuned for details on our next one.

We held our first Community Dance Party - THE HEAT IS ON - on Friday, April 4th 2025 and WOW... what an amazing turnout! We celebrated the anonymous donation that made our Heat Pumps possible. On June 14th, we held our 2nd dance party as a fundraiser to match our grant from the 1772 Foundation to enable us to complete our Conditions Assessment which will help future fundraising efforts tremendously. We raised nearly $750 with your help.
We hope to see you at the next one! Stay tuned!

The 1st Annual Round Pond Trionathong will be taking place on July 4th 2026!

Curious title, non? The Trionathong is a little bit road race and a lotta bit ridiculous. A somehow comedic take on a classic running event and a stripped down version of something at once familiar yet not remotely close to anything we've ever seen before. You get it? Yes, you do. AND... it's also going to be our biggest annual fundraiser. Intrigued? Yah. So are we. More details to come.

4th of July Open House 2025-
Our third annual open house was a huge success! We raised $1400 towards our matching grant with the 1772 Foundation - we are so close to our goal of $2125. Huge thanks to the generous donations of community members and parade goers. THANK YOU! We look forward to seeing you all again in 2026 at the Open House AND the Trionathong!

Pitch and Bitch -
We held our first ever Pitch & Bitch on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025. A relaxed, yet laser focused hive mind brainstorm. Come prepared to listen closely and then share your thoughts regarding your fellow community members ideas and issues.

Stay tuned for future dates.

Round Pond Weekly Jam -
We were thrilled to host the traditional Round Pond Weekly Jam on Wednesdays this Spring! The Jam has moved outside to the Round Pond Green for the Summer. We look forward to welcoming the Jam back to the Lodge when the weather turns cooler in the Fall. Or perhaps on any rainy Summer nights! TBA
Check it out at the Round Pond Green! Players and spectators are encouraged to attend the evening jam. Unlike an open mic, players are encouraged to play songs that others can play and sing along to.

The Haunted Lodge -
On Friday October 25th and Saturday October 26th, 2024, we invited community members to enter a terrifying walk through on the first floor of the Lodge... if they dared. It was a resounding success and we can't wait to do it again!

We will host a planning meeting for volunteers in late August. Anyone interested in helping to create spooky vignettes and scary scenes for the Round Pond community should attend. Ghouls playing pool? Ahhhhhh!

Pool Night (dates to be announced)

Seasonal Community Meals at the Lodge (dates to be announced)
